KU Pedology Lab

It was back to old familiar grounds in Daniel's lab - he has added new equipment for his work and research. Below is a nice Inductive Coupled Plasma Spectrometer (ICP) IRIS instrument he was able to obtain from the FDA. Here is a picture of a similar unit:


In addition, he has a uPrint by Dimension - a three dimensional printer - you ask what is this about? An incredible machine that prints any three dimensional object by layering into plastic 1/2 millimeter at a time giving researches the ability to work with exact copies of real-life samples that are too delicate to handle - or else to duplicate for student samples, etc. What an incredible device.
